Concert and launch of “The Complete Pianist”

Sunday 7th June 7pm - 8pm

My recital and book launch, due to take place at Sutton House on Sunday June 7th at 7pm will now take place online, and I very much hope you will be able to join me.   The concert will be available on my YouTube channel from 7pm on Sunday. You will also be able to watch it after the event.

The programme includes two wonderful pieces by Chopin, the Ballade No 3 in Ab major and Nocturne in Bb minor, as well as Schubert’s great last Sonata in Bb major D960, written shortly before he died.  These pieces were performed to a live audience from my own home over the last few weeks, in my ‘Through my window’ series.  On Sunday, I will introduce each performance, and the pieces will be interspersed with paintings created by Henny Beaumont during these live events. The performance will last about one hour.

This event also celebrates the launch of my new book The Complete Pianist: from healthy technique to natural artistry. The concert was originally going to be followed by a launch party in the beautiful Great Chamber at Sutton House. We are sadly no longer able to offer you a real party with wine and cake, but I hope you will help me celebrate the completion of this mammoth task by taking a moment to look at the short video and information about the book here.

This event is free. However, if you enjoy the concert, and would like to make a donation to the Sutton House Music Society to support our Young Artists concerts, please click here to donate.
